I don't know why I didn't mention this sooner. I use Amazon.com's affiliate program quite often on my blogs to add photos that are copyright free and to also give that little extra something that someone might be interested in buying or clicking.

Amazon.com is an okay affiliate program - there are definitely better out there, but Amazon.com has such a wide variety of products to use and choose from that they outdo almost any other affiliate programs I've seen.

The click through rate for me is low, but as I said, that's just because I tend to use it for photos mainly. If I use it for actual advertising purposes then I've had much better luck, such as my Horror Movie Review blog. The clickthrough rate here is much better here.

The Linkshare affiliate program is my little display of the day. This is far from my favorite affiliate program, but it works for some. This is my newest, most favorite affiliate program. Unlike Commission Junction you do not have to apply and wait days and days and even more than two weeks (have had that happen with at least three programs) to see if you're accepted. And what if you need the link now rather than later? I've had that happen all too often. A video game affiliate link doesn't help if Video Game Appreciation Day is over - okay, so that's not a real holiday, but I think it should be.

Logical Media has only a few programs that you need to apply for and they get back to you very quickly about whether you were accepted. They will review your website(s) and approve each one to make sure you fit with their campaigns. Much more efficient and I love the campaigns they have.
